Hedge Planting

Evergreen and semi-evergreen: The start of autumn is thought of as the most ideal for hedging plants such as box, privet (semi-evergreen) and yew. However they can be planted at any time from late autumn until late winter.

Deciduous hedges: The best time for planting beech, hawthorn and hornbeam is usually from mid-autumn all the way through to late in the winter.

Over the winter I had let my garden go and it was in much need of a Spring makeover. A friend of mine recommended Green Roots to me, run by Mr Oliver Howe. I contacted Mr Howe who promptly came for a site visit and he gave me a verbal estimate which was quickly followed by a more detailed written confirmation. I was very satisfied with this and agreed for the work to be carried out. Mr Howe and his two team members came a couple of weeks later and carried out the work. They were a professional hard working team and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.
